예전의 라인업은 Josh (Vocals), Derr (Guitar), Scottie (Guitar/Vocals), Dolittle (Bass), Daniel (Drums)이었다. 로컬 밴드에서 일약 언더그라운드의 기대주로 떠오르며, 1년 안에 5,8000여 장의 판매고를 기록한 앨범이다. Norma Jean은 원래 플로리다의 Luti-Kriss라는 이름을 가진 하드코어 밴드였는데, 이름을 바꾸기 전에는 EP인 5라는 앨범을 냈고 Solidstate Records에서 해마 재킷으로 알려진, 12곡이 수록된 Throwing Myself라는 앨범을 발매한 뒤 광적인 것으로 평가받는 라이브를 가졌다. 본 앨범은 2002년 8월 13일 낸 2집이자 Norma Jean이라는 이름으로 낸 첫 번째 앨범이다. 녹음에 들어가면서 mewithoutYou의 Aaron Weiss가 보컬 게스트 피처링을 해 주었다.
